Ella Ru Tea Co. was born from love, love from my remarkable grandmothers Ellia and Ruby. Whose names, wisdom and nurturing spirits live on in every blend. They taught me that healing doesn't always come in loud moments, but in quiet rituals, a warm cup, a steady breath, a leaf steeping patiently in water.

Rooted in Garifuna (Honduran) and African American ancestry, I grew up surrounded by traditions that honored the earth as medicine. Herbs weren't just plants-they were protection and connection. From kitchen remedies to cultural rituals nature was always present.

In 2023, when I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I was forced to slow down and listen to my body in a new way. Western medicine offered answers, but it was the healing power of nature that helped me reconnect to myself. I returned to the wisdom my grandmothers lived by; that the body heals itself when it's supported with patience, love and nourishment.

Ella Ru Tea Co. exists to honor that legacy. This tea company honors my grandmothers. This is more than tea, it's a continuation of the women who came before me and a space for others to find their own moments of peace, healing and harmony.
